Another Year…The Best One Yet!

2 May

Last year at this time, I was about 3 1/2 months in to growing a person.  I had no clue what the future was going to hold, other than I was fairly certain there would be a new addition to our family.  I had no idea how that addition would affect us, or how we would affect him or her.

18 weeks preggers...about one month in to the best year of my life!

Well, here I am, one year older and with so much to show for it!  This one year of my life has outshone all of the previous thirty-one put together.  I will never, ever forget this year because it has made me into the person I was meant to be.  I have never felt a particular purpose to my life until now.  I wake up everyday with the best job in the world and I work for the best little boss.

This year has blessed me with a family.  And we really work.  The hubbs and I have never been happier.  And the best part?  We are good at this–like really, really good!

This year has changed me in so many ways.  I have grown more than I thought I was capable of.  I have become more understanding and less judgemental.  I have become more flexible.  I have loosened up my need to control everything.  I see most people in a different light.  I am truly a different person, and most of my good friends can attest to that fact.  My outlook on life has changed for the better.

One year ago, all I knew was that I was going to be a mom.  I didn’t know that that would bring with it all-encompassing change.  Thirty-one was the best year of my life.  And I think thirty-two is going to be even better.

My little monkey, making it easy to get up in the morning!
